A Few Things About Ryan

Ryan Hutchison is a fourth-generation resident of the Inland Empire. Ryan attended Citrus College, Chaffey College and then graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College in 2009.

Ryan’s first job was working as a parking attendant at Quakes Stadium when he was sixteen years old. He went on to start his business in Rancho Cucamonga in 2004. Today, Ryan has nearly two decades of successful experience in the private and public sectors.
Ryan is a homeowner in Rancho Cucamonga and an active member of our community. He is involved with the Rancho Cucamonga Rotary, the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce, and he volunteers for the Friends of the Pacific Electric Trail.

For the last four years, Ryan has been working to protect our quality of life. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he made sure our city was providing essential services like senior lunches and library services to help with distance learning. He did this without cutting programs or raising taxes. Ryan’s hard work helped Rancho Cucamonga be named an All-America City in 2020 and he wants to build on that success to keep our city the best place to live work and play.

Safe Communities

The safety of our community is Ryan’s top priority. As our City Councilmember Ryan worked to expand police and firefighting services in Rancho Cucamonga to reduce emergency response times, improve community safety and increase protection from wildfires.

Jobs

Ryan started his small business in Rancho Cucamonga since 2004. He knows that small businesses are the lifeblood of our city and are essential to providing livable wage jobs to our residents. That’s why he working to reduce the burden of government on local businesses so our economy can grow.

Quality of Life

Rancho Cucamonga is special and Ryan knows how important it is to maintain our parks and trails for our community to enjoy. Ryan is also working to address congestion by instituting traffic mitigation tools like permissive yellow lights in turn lanes. Because of Ryan’s work, our city was named an All America City in 2020, and he is committed to continuing to make Rancho Cucamonga the best city in the Inland Empire.

Fiscal Discipline

California is an expensive place to live, and Ryan knows our families can’t afford higher and higher taxes. That is why Ryan has worked to balance the city budget, with a rainy day fund for emergencies, without raising taxes. This fiscal discipline allowed our city to continue providing essential services like police and fire during the pandemic and preserve our quality of life.
